Bloch's work is influenced by 20th-century avant-gardes, including Constructivism, Minimalism, De Stijl, Neoplasticism, Brutalism, and Op Art. He cites Theo Van Doesburg, Vasarely, François Morellet, Daniel Buren, and Georges Rousse as inspirations, along with the Japanese concept of Wabi-Sabi. His approach involves re-working elements by hand, re-cutting, and reassembling them to achieve a precise concept, often aiming to create a three-dimensional effect from a flat surface through bas-relief or optical illusion.
