About the artwork
This work depicts a male figure inspired by Caravaggio's famous Bacchus, posing with an expression both gentle and enigmatic. The figure emerges from an abundance of foliage, fruit and bunches, classic symbols of abundance and celebration. The warm palette blends golds, greens and reds against a paint-splattered background, typical of C215's urban energy. The artist blends classical references and street art aesthetics, creating a vibrant, contemporary work.
Expert opinion
This work is a perfect illustration of C215's art, combining stencil virtuosity with a modern reinterpretation of classic icons such as Bacchus.
