About the artwork
This work depicts a male figure inspired by Caravaggio's Bacchus, seated and facing the viewer, his muscular arms highlighted by dynamic red strokes. Surrounded by fruit and foliage, the figure wears a crown of leaves evoking the vine. A palette dominated by reds and blacks, mixed with splashes and vivid strokes, brings strength and movement to the composition. C215 fuses classical references with urban energy, creating a powerful, modern portrait.
Expert opinion
This work perfectly illustrates the art of C215, who here revisits Bacchus with urban intensity and a vibrant style, between tradition and modernity.
