About the artwork
This work depicts an arrow pointing toward a red dot, accompanied by the inscription “You are not here. You are where you want to be.” The work subverts the famous “You Are Here” arrow found on maps. This reversal suggests a call for inner freedom, imagination, and even escape. Romain Jungle invites us not to settle for this imposed “here,” but to invent our own space, so that we may feel free.

Romain Jungle is an artist from Fontainebleau. He is best known for his urban artistic representations, characterized by puns and humorous drawings. He made a name for himself in 2023 with the embellishment of the Gare de Melun tunnel. He exhibited his work at Espace Comairas in 2022 and at Melun's Cité Administrative in 2024.
