About the artwork

Part of Antoine Dufilho's acclaimed Streamline Series, McLaren Speedtail Yellow reinterprets one of the most innovative hypercars of the modern era through the artist's distinctive sculptural language. Built from a succession of precisely cut layers, the work captures the Speedtail's aerodynamic silhouette while emphasizing movement, speed and design. Executed in a striking yellow and black color scheme, this sculpture transforms an automotive icon into a contemporary work of art. This example is particularly desirable as it is the final numbered piece of the edition (8/8), from a series that is now completely sold out.

Expert opinion

Antoine Dufilho has established himself as one of the leading contemporary artists working at the intersection of sculpture, design and automotive culture. His Streamline Series is highly sought after for its ability to translate legendary vehicles into elegant and instantly recognizable sculptural forms. As the last numbered example from a sold-out edition, McLaren Speedtail Yellow holds particular appeal for collectors. The work combines technical precision, strong visual presence and the exclusivity associated with both limited editions and iconic automotive design, making it a standout piece within Dufilho's body of work.

About the artist

Antoine Dufilho (born 1985 in Lille, France) is a contemporary artist and sculptor whose practice explores the relationship between movement, architecture and formal decomposition. Born into a family of artists and doctors, he began studying architecture before turning to sculpture, a discipline in which he finds total creative freedom. His work is characterized by an aesthetic built around repetition, rhythm and structure. Antoine Dufilho fragments forms - often taken from the world of automobiles or modernist architecture - into a succession of planes, metal rods or cut-out volumes. This decomposition creates the illusion of movement, allowing the silhouettes to visually reconstitute themselves as the viewer moves around the work. Fascinated by engineering, mechanics and design, he revisits automotive icons such as Bugatti, Ferrari and Porsche, reinterpreting them through a refined sculptural style combining steel, aluminum and resin. His sculptures combine technical precision, a sense of rhythm and an almost architectural dimension. Antoine Dufilho exhibits regularly in Europe, the United States, the Middle East and Asia. His works feature in numerous private collections, and appeal as much to contemporary art lovers as to design and automotive enthusiasts. His ability to transform industrial symbols into poetic, dynamic sculptures makes him one of the singular voices on the French contemporary scene.
