About the artwork

This wooden sculpture is a miniature version of the famous coffins for which Paa Joe is renowned. In the shape of a cell phone, the work transforms and opens, revealing the hollow of the sculpture. Paa Joe combines tradition with wood and modernity with a cell phone to create a piece that is both articulate and innovative.
