About the artwork

In *Monopz Country Club*, Alec Monopoly playfully and ironically subverts the symbols of luxury, finance, and American popular culture. The artist features his iconic characters, inspired by Monopoly, in a colorful and satirical world that blends ostentatious wealth, elite leisure activities, and a critique of contemporary capitalism. The work features Alec Monopoly’s instantly recognizable visual aesthetic: bright colors, sharp outlines, references to pop culture, and imagery associated with money and power. The golf setting and monetary symbols here reinforce the satire of a lifestyle associated with excess and financial success.
