About the artwork
Giving his work an almost scientific name, Yasuaki Onishi presents us with a mountainous landscape suspended and inscribed in a transparent box as if it were an object of study. Defying gravity and playing with perceptions of fullness and emptiness, he invites the viewer to explore form, space and matter with him.
Expert opinion
This work, presented as a study of the interior of a volume (Inside of volume), is characteristic of Yasuaki Onishi's practice.
