About the artwork

This work is a set of 12 postcards presented in a box, featuring the artist's "Butterfly Rainbow" and "Butterfly Heart" motifs. The box cover depicts Battersea Power Station at dusk, with its chimneys illuminated in rainbow colors, and is hand-signed by the artist in white marker. The postcards themselves feature kaleidoscope-like compositions of butterfly wings arranged in radial symmetry, creating mandalas of color. Published by Heni Productions in 2020, the set was created during the initial phase of the Covid-19 pandemic as a gesture of support for the NHS and frontline healthcare workers. About the artist

Born in Bristol in 1965, Damien Hirst is one of the UK's most influential contemporary artists.
