About the artwork
Falling Clock transforms the most ordinary domestic object into a poetic meditation on time. The clock, sagging and limp, seems to bend under the weight of entropy. Arsham turns a symbol of order into an image of fragility.
Expert opinion
Time is represented as a soft, collapsing object - an elegant paradox. The familiar wall clock, captured in full collapse, renders entropy sculptural and strangely serene.
About the artist
“"I never try to be too obvious. It's like the idea of an object that decomposes or recomposes: everyone chooses their point of view." - Daniel Arsham on his practice”
