About the artwork
Taking the Doraemon character from the Japanese series created by Fujiko Fujio, Takashi Murakami fills it with his colorful, joyful aesthetic. By associating his signature flowers with the recognizable Doraemon and Nobita Nobi, the artist plays on the boundary between pop culture and contemporary art.
