About the artwork
Chromadynamica 56 is one of the most emblematic series in Felipe Pantone's work. Through a rigorously structured composition, the artist develops a visual language based on color, speed and perception. The chromatic gradations, organized along dynamic diagonals, create a sensation of continuous, almost kinetic movement, evoking digital flows, contemporary interfaces and the legacy of optical art. This work bears witness to Felipe Pantone's ongoing interest in the transformation of the image in the digital age. The superimposition of shapes and the precision of the printing reinforce the illusion of vibration and depth, inviting the eye to move without stopping. The deliberately contained format allows for an intimate reading, while retaining the strong visual intensity characteristic of his work.
Expert opinion
Chromadynamica 56 is particularly representative of the artistic maturity reached by Felipe Pantone in the late 2010s. This period corresponds to a consolidation of his visual language, as well as growing institutional and international recognition, both in galleries and in private and public collections. The Chromadynamica series occupies a central place in his work. It embodies his reflection on speed, the circulation of information and the transformation of the image in the digital age. Through an assertive geometric rigor and a remarkable mastery of color, the artist succeeds in producing works that actively engage the viewer's perception, generating an almost permanent sensation of movement and vibration. Drago's silkscreens are unanimously recognized for their high quality of execution. The precision of the chromatic passages and the fidelity of the gradations enhance the legibility and visual power of the work. The limited edition of 100 copies, combined with a handwritten signature and excellent state of preservation, are criteria that are particularly appreciated on the secondary market. This work is as much for the discerning collector as for those wishing to enter Felipe Pantone's world with an emblematic, structuring piece. It offers strong potential for medium- and long-term appreciation, particularly in a context where aesthetics derived from optical art, digital art and urban scenes continue to gain curatorial and institutional legitimacy.
About the artist
Born in Buenos Aires in 1986, Felipe Pantone is an Argentinian-Spanish artist who lives and works in Valencia, Spain. Initially drawn to graffiti, he studied Fine Arts in Valencia, where he graduated. His artistic practice explores movement, transformation and the digital, standing at the junction between an analog past and a digital future. Felipe Pantone approaches contemporary subjects using a scientific prism, superimposing and repeating geometric shapes, optical patterns and light spectra to create a form of abstraction inspired by kinetic artists such as Victor Vasarely and Carlos Cruz-Diez. Following in the latter's footsteps, he takes on projects in public spaces, embellishing walls, vehicles and even barges. Exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Long Beach Museum in the USA and the Palais de Tokyo in Paris, his work has also found its way into galleries such as the Danysz Gallery in Paris and Shanghai, and the Underdogs Gallery in Lisbon.
