Sylvain Couzinet-Jacques, born in 1983, is an artist and photographer who graduated from the École des Beaux-Arts de Marseille and the École Nationale Supérieure de la Photographie d'Arles. His work, oscillating between documentary and the visual arts, explores contemporary tensions and utopias, as in his Eden project published in 2016. He is particularly interested in questions of ownership, immaterial data and collective appropriation through works that combine visuals and sculpture. Winner of numerous awards, including the Immersion prize from the Fondation Hermès and the C/O Berlin Talent Award, he has exhibited internationally, notably at the Aperture Foundation and BAL in Paris. Between 2017 and 2018, he was a member of the Académie de France à Madrid - Casa de Velázquez.
