Eugenio Recuenco
Eugenio Recuenco was born in Madrid in 1968, with a degree in fine arts (painting) from Madrid's Complutense University. A photographer, he has collaborated with a number of fashion magazines. Vogue, Madame Figaro, Planet, Vanity Fair, Ster, Kult, ... Advertising for Boucheron. Nina Ricci, Yves Saint Laurent, Le Bon Marché, Pernod Ricard, Puy Du Fou, Canal + and Naf Naf. In 2008, his video "Essence of Seduction" won the prize for best advertising of the year in Spain and the award for best short film at Mexico City's International Film Week. His photographs have been exhibited at the Reina Sofia Museum in Madrid, BAC (Barcelona Arte Contemporáneo), Naardeen Photo Festival, FEM (Festival Edición Madrid), Rencontres d'Arles, PhotoEspaña, Art Toronto 2007 and the National Library of Spain. 2008 In Paris, he presents his first solo show, "Dream and Storm", at Galerie Bertin-Touleblanc. In 2004, he was awarded the AB National Photography Prize. In 2009, he won gold and bronze at the Sol Festival. In 2006 and 2013, his photographs won the Golden Lions at the Cannes Lions festival. 2016, Group show at CWC Gallery, Berlin, Germany 2018, Three group shows: at Conde Duque (Madrid, Spain), PHE Museo del Traje (Madrid, Spain) and Fotomuseo (Bogotá, Colombia). 2022, Group exhibition "25 Years CAMERA WORK" Berlin. 2023 and 2024, Solo exhibitions at Camera Work Gallery with works from "Las Mil y Una Noches" and at Centro de Arte Gaya Nuño, Soria, Spain. For almost 8 years, he has been running a personal photographic project entitled "365º", 369 images, 120 models, a team of 300 people.
