Emi Kuraya

Japanese artist born in 1995. Graduate of Tokyo's Kama Art University. Through her pastel works imbued with a sense of gentleness and innocence, mostly depicting young girls alone or with a pet, Emi Kuraya invites us to reflect on the meaning of the moment. She is also a member of Kaiki Kiki, an art company founded by Takashi Murakami since 2018, and has seen her work exhibited at Galerie Perrotin in Seoul, Art Basel (Hong Kong) and the Frieze Art Fair in New York.
