Alicia LaChance
Born in 1970 in Saint Louis, Missouri, Alicia LaChance is a self-taught American artist. Co-founder of the Hoffman LaChance Contemporary gallery in Saint Louis, she has presented her work in institutions such as the Elmhurst Art Museum, Art Palm Springs and the Gateway Foundation. She is also known for major public commissions, such as a vast terrazzo mosaic at Saint Louis International Airport, hailed by the Wall Street Journal (Houska Gallery, Saatchi Art). Her visual universe fuses abstraction and artisanal influences, to compose works in which each motif becomes a fragment of cultural memory.
