Alexandre Bagrat

A very young artist, Alexander Bagrat was born in Moscow in 1982 into a family of Armenian origin. At the age of sixteen, he moved to the United States to study at the Art Institute of Los Angeles and then at the Parsons School of Design in New York. Present in numerous collections in France and abroad, Alexander Bagrat came to the attention of painter Pierre Soulages in 2010. His erotic works on kraft paper delight collectors. The contemporary expressionism of his male-female nudes reveals his visceral, raw and disturbing art.
