About the artwork

About the artist
Born in 1934, Roger-Louis Chavanon is a French painter, engraver, sculptor and medalist with a degree in fine arts. His works often explore the human body, abstraction and movement, playing on the transparency and fluidity of forms. He has produced numerous prints, in which he develops an aesthetic halfway between figuration and dissolution of the image. His work has been exhibited in galleries such as Galerie Alain Margaron in Paris in 2014, and at art fairs such as Paréidolie in 2021.
