About the artwork
This work depicts a child throwing a tantrum, papers in hand. The left-hand corner of the support is missing, as if it had been torn off by the young boy. By manually tearing the paper and integrating it into the composition, Andrew Scott creates a dynamic interaction between the work and its frame. In so doing, he encourages the viewer to reconsider the relationship between artist, work and observer.
Expert opinion
