About the artwork
At the center of this composition is a cream-colored mandala, symmetrical and intricately detailed. The background is a collage of ornamental motifs and visual fragments in red, yellow, blue and green, creating a contrast with the central mandala. The richness and complexity of the composition invite contemplation. The mandala structure, a symbol of spirituality and balance, is reinterpreted here to convey a powerful message of collective peace and harmony. Shepard Fairey's work embodies a perfect balance between tradition and modernity, offering viewers an intense visual and spiritual experience.
Expert opinion
This colorful abstract lithograph shows an evolution in the practice of Shepard Fairey, renowned for his striking two-color black-and-red images. However, it features his usual geometric motifs and a message of peace and harmony.
