About the artwork
Set in lush natural surroundings, Li Shuang depicts a sensual love scene between a man and a woman. Placed at the center of the composition, they occupy a predominant position within the plant and animal kingdom. This feeling is reinforced by the halo crowning the couple and the organization of nature. This work is part of a series of drawings in which the artist depicts love scenes in a simple, gentle manner, detaching herself from the superfluous and choosing pastel colors.
