About the artwork
With her eyes fixed on the viewer and her mouth half-open, the woman with the flaming blond hair comes to life the instant she is looked at. Although the apple-green surface of the canvas is extremely saturated and therefore visible, color is nonetheless in the minority in the composition, with the emotion and femininity of the subject taking center stage.
Expert opinion
Emblematic of CORNO's work, both the colorful background and the subject itself perfectly illustrate the sensuality and power of femininity that emanate from the artist's work.

“Power always comes from passion. But I don't consciously try to imbue my work with it. I've always had this surge of energy and passion, and I guess I've translated it into my paintings. It's very instinctive, really. It's not an effort”
