Ecstasy is a work created in 2010 by the FAILE art collective. This print, with a print run of 175, is produced here in acrylic and silkscreen ink in twelve colors on Lenox 100 paper and measures 60 × 90 cm. The composition features a reclining female figure, depicted in a dynamic, expressive posture, seemingly floating in a visual universe saturated with patterns, typographic fragments and graphic textures. The body is stylized in a drawing inspired by popular imagery and comic strips, while the background accumulates layers of bright colors, graphic elements and visual references reminiscent of urban posters and street collages. The contrasts between the black of the drawing, the red, blue and cream tones and the bursts of typography create a vibrant, rhythmic image, characteristic of the visual aesthetic developed by the collective.

About the artist
FAILE is the Brooklyn-based artistic collaboration of Patrick McNeil (b. 1975) and Patrick Miller (b. 1976), formed in 1999. Widely regarded as pioneers of contemporary urban art, the duo has developed a distinctive visual language that blends collage, printmaking, painting, sculpture, and large-scale public installations. Drawing inspiration from comic books, advertising, cinema, religion, and American popular culture, FAILE deconstructs and recombines familiar imagery into layered, fragmented compositions. Their vibrant works blur the boundaries between street art and fine art while exploring themes of consumerism, memory, mythology, and collective storytelling.
