About the artwork

A black marker drawing on paper, this composition features the artist's name,"DUSTER," rendered in a stylized, interconnected script characteristic of graffiti tagging. The letters are bold and fluid, exhibiting the "wild style" elements for which the artist is known, with extensions and overlapping forms creating a dynamic visual flow. Above the main tag,the phrase "Thank You!" is written in a more angular,block-letter style, also in black marker. The year "2018" is inscribed in the lower right corner, providing a date for the creation of the piece. The artwork serves as a direct example of a graffiti tag, which is a one-colored signature or pseudonym of a graffiti writer, often incorporating decorative elements such as arrows and other stylistic flourishes. Such tags are fundamental to graffiti art, representing the artist's unique handstyle and personal expression. The use of black marker on white paper isolates the graphic qualities of the tag, emphasizing the lines and forms without the additional complexities of color or background.
