About the artwork
This set of porcelain plates features the iconic KAWS character, Companion, in a red-and-white palette of symmetrical motifs evoking pop mandalas. A cross between tableware and urban culture, these pieces merge utilitarian design and graphic art. Signed with KAWS's recognizable style, they reflect the artist's post-pop aesthetic, somewhere between cartoon nostalgia and mainstream contemporary art.
Expert opinion
This set perfectly illustrates KAWS' desire to make art accessible by blending design and pop culture. A decorative collector's item, it captivates with its visual legibility and the iconic power of its Companion character.
About the artist
