About the artwork
This work depicts a young woman seated on a swing, her body leaning slightly backwards, the hair and drapery of her dress seeming to float in suspended motion. It is executed in red, white and black tones, with dynamic splashes that add energy and depth. The background is an old map of the city of Paris, with its streets, districts and meticulous cartographic inscriptions, creating a dialogue between the history of the city and the modernity of street art. This composition belongs to the world of C215, an artist renowned for his detailed, poetic stencils, where human portraits become fragments of humanity integrated into urban space. Here, the delicately crafted female figure seems to embody freedom and lightness in the heart of the urban fabric. The work expresses both the fragile beauty of suspended moments and the timeless dimension of the city, transforming the map of Paris into a vibrant, living backdrop.
Expert opinion
This work is characteristic of C215's delicate, poetic universe, where the finesse of portraiture blends with urban cartography to sublimate the city and its inhabitants.
