WXYZ est un peintre et sculpteur français né à Paris en 1980. Issu de la scène du graffiti parisien, il a développé un langage visuel singulier axé sur la transformation des quatre dernières lettres de l’alphabet – W, X, Y et Z –, qui sont devenues à la fois sa signature et le fondement de sa recherche artistique. Plutôt que de considérer les lettres comme un moyen de communication, WXYZ les utilise comme des structures abstraites à travers lesquelles il explore le rythme, la couleur, la géométrie et la forme.
Depuis ses premières réalisations murales au milieu des années 1990, l’artiste n’a cessé de repousser les frontières entre le graffiti, la peinture et la sculpture. Ses compositions oscillent entre lisibilité et abstraction, reflétant une fascination pour la typographie tout en invitant les spectateurs à s’interroger sur la forme au-delà du langage.
