David « Meggs » Hooke (né en 1978 à Melbourne, en Australie) est un artiste reconnu pour ses fresques murales monumentales et ses peintures minutieuses. Son œuvre intègre des éléments issus de la nature, de l’industrie et de l’abstraction, créant ainsi des compositions qui évoquent le mouvement et la transformation. La carrière artistique de Meggs a débuté en 2003, lorsqu'il est devenu membre fondateur de l'Everfresh Studio, un collectif d'artistes de rue en Australie. Il a obtenu une licence en design à la Swinburne University School of Design en 2000. Parmi les premières influences de Meggs figurent la bande dessinée, la science-fiction, le skateboard, la culture du graffiti, le heavy metal et la musique punk rock. Son style de peinture artistique a évolué, passant d’un travail issu de la rue à des techniques mixtes expressives et stratifiées.
