Soyz Bank

Born in 1988, Soyz Bank is a French artist. His practice is based on what he calls the "Reality concept", which enables him to transform a flat object into a three-dimensional sculpture. Fusing sculpture and digital printing to create unique works, he takes commonly flat objects from everyday life and popular culture, crumpling them up in resin to add volume. For example, he creates works using Monopoly cards, banknotes and even book covers. Seeking to bring supports and objects to life, he draws his inspiration from easily forgotten but highly symbolic elements, such as champagne labels. Soyz Bank's work is presented internationally and within the Los Angeles-based Mind the Gap collective, which also includes artists such as Ava.
