Rafael Bajar
Rafael Bajar (b. 1936), sometimes signed "R. Bejar", is an artist whose work blends abstraction and figurative sensibility. Active in the second half of the twentieth century, he developed a body of work marked by particular attention to material, color and composition, reflecting a constant search for balance between structure and spontaneity. His pictorial language is characterized by freedom of gesture and an intuitive approach, where forms gradually emerge from the surface. Influenced by modern movements and European abstraction, Rafael Bajar explores visual worlds in which texture and light play a central role. His works reflect a dialogue between construction and erasure, revealing a practice rooted in experimentation. Although relatively discreet on the international scene, his work has been presented in a variety of artistic contexts and now features in private collections. The "R. Bejar" signature is an important element of identification, particularly for works distributed on the secondary market.
