JERO 87

JERO87 (b. 1987, Brandenburg, Germany) is a German graffiti artist who grew up in Berlin. He began painting graffiti in the German capital in 2002, developing his practice directly in the streets through spray paint, tags, and an ongoing exploration of letter-based forms. Rooted in traditional graffiti writing, JERO87’s work is characterized by elaborate lettering, dynamic compositions, interlocking forms, and bold graphic contrasts. His compositions explore the boundary between legibility and abstraction, transforming letters into complex and energetic visual structures. After many years working primarily in public space, JERO87 has increasingly transferred his visual language to paper and canvas, bringing the spontaneity and energy of graffiti into a studio-based practice while maintaining a strong connection to the culture and aesthetics of urban writing.
