Haroshi & James Jean
Haroshi and James Jean collaborated on "Trespassers", released in 2023. Born in 1978 in Tokyo, Haroshi is a sculptor living and working in Japan. He has no traditional academic training in art, but perfects his craft through self-taught experience and immersion in urban culture. An avid skateboarder from an early age, Haroshi developed a unique technique using worn boards to create vibrant works of art, combining art and skate culture. His works have been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including London in 2018, New York in 2022 and Seoul in 2024. Born in 1979 in Taiwan, James Jean is an artist who lives and works in the United States. A graduate of New York's School of Visual Arts, where he honed his unique style blending surrealism, illustration and pop culture, James Jean first gained notoriety as a comic book cover illustrator. He then extended his work to painting, sculpture and installations. He is renowned for his visually rich works, characterized by fluid compositions, semi-abstract figures and subtle use of color and light, fusing elements of mythology, popular culture and surrealism. James Jean has collaborated with major brands and artists, and his work has been exhibited in galleries and museums around the world, including in Vancouver and Beijing in 2024.
