Daev Momo
Born in California in 1974, Daev Momo, also known as Momo, is an American urban artist. His resolutely abstract work aspires to universality by infusing rhythm, contrast and vivid color, while experimenting with new processes through the design of innovative tools. His geometric style stems from the time constraints of urban art, adopting mathematical geometry to optimize his time. Renowned for his artistic practice since the 1990s, Daev Momo has created experimental and monumental murals for companies such as Facebook, Pepsi and the NFL. However, it is through his self-financed murals in Jamaica, Sicily and Arizona (dating from 2013, 2016 and 2018) that he fully explores his innovative techniques, appealing to an audience independent of commercial concerns. His creations have been exhibited worldwide, including at Studio Cromie in Grottaglie, Italy (2023), Alice Gallery in Brussels, Belgium (2021), and Delimbo Gallery in Seville, Spain (2017).
