With the collective's name "1 UP", itself a repetition of the same name, this edition is a reminder of the strength and unity of the entity embodied by its fifteen members.
About the artist
Active since 2003, 1UP or 1UP Crew is a collective of graffiti vandals from Berlin. With the ambition of not singling out any of its members, the graffiti artists don't personally sign their work. Their tags dot public spaces around the world, adorning cities of all horizons: from the MS Mediterranean Sky ship to a huge fresco in the streets of Naples denouncing the abandonment of underprivileged neighborhoods, no region escapes their influence. Beyond the street, the collective has also been exhibiting in institutions such as the Urban Nation contemporary art museum in Berlin since 2017.
