Falling Clock transforms the most ordinary domestic object into a poetic meditation on time. The clock, sagging and limp, seems to bend under the weight of entropy. Arsham turns a symbol of order into an image of fragility.

Time is represented as a soft, collapsing object - an elegant paradox. The familiar wall clock, captured in full collapse, renders entropy sculptural and strangely serene.
About the artist
Born in Cleveland in 1980, Daniel Arsham is an American artist who lives and works in New York. Basing his artistic practice on a kind of fictional archaeology, he creates, crystallizes and erodes objects and silhouettes from our present. Combining the present, the future and the past, Daniel Arsham imposes an aesthetic as a timeless, cross-cultural experience. Exhibited worldwide, his work has been shown at Galerie Perrotin since 2005. His aesthetic has also been popularized by numerous collaborations, including with Moët & Chandon, Tiffany & Co and the famous Pokémon franchise created by Satoshi Tajiri in 1995.
